Get Readii Group offers tailor-made STA, meaning you get to choose a STA individualised to your unique wants and needs.
Short-Term Accommodation, including respite, is support for when you need to live away from your home for a short period. STA funding can be used for respite to assist you and those who care for you; it can allow your carers to have a short break from their role as a carer.
Short-Term Accommodation can be good for if your regular support network is unavailable for a short period.
Short-Term Accommodation can allow you to:
- Try new things
- Make new friends
- Develop new skills or improve current skills
- Maintain your current living arrangements by giving your carers a break
Short-Term Accommodation includes personal care support, accommodation, food, and activities you and the STA provider agree to.
Usually, your NDIS plan will be funded for up to 28 days of STA per year; this can be used in small amounts, or large blocks of time (up to 14 days at a time). Your NDIS plan will state whether STA is included in your funding, however if it is not included, you are able to use your Core funding for this.
